Light in the Darkness Medicine

As we traverse this time of Equinox, we journey into increasing darkness as the hours of the night become longer than the light of the day. We become naturally drawn to meet our inner shadows. These darker areas contain the parts of self that feel unloved, unacknowledged, unseen and unknown. Often we hold fears about facing these shadowed realms.
Martin Luther King once said:
“Darkness cannot drive out darkness; only light can do that.
Hate cannot drive out hate; only love can do that.”
To navigate our shadows we look to our inner light – the light of our heart, our soul, our inner divine spark. We allow the brightness of our inner light to grow with the fuel of forgiveness, acceptance and loving kindness.
