 | Healing the Child Within Recorded 2nd August 2024 This Friday night we journey inwards, bringing sound and intention to heal the child within us. The relationship we have with our inner child is arguably the most influential relationship of our lives. It could be said even, that it holds the key to mastery of adulthood. As children we most probably experienced events that left us feeling scared, unloved, confused and/or abandoned. In order to avoid further pain and suffering, the child likely called in and utilised various protective energies, to survive in the world, which can often be carried through to adulthood, subconsciously. Although these energies appear to be keeping the adult safe, they also tend to dominate when the adult consciously decides to makes changes in their life for the better, or to welcome in love for example. The subconscious fears unfamiliarity, and so all the child’s armour may begin to appear as the adult starts to break old habits, contracts, or conditioned responses around opening the heart. Until the adult diverts their undivided attention to the child within, to get to know them, to really hear, see, feel, witness, unconditionally love them, and provide them with safety by meeting their needs, the child will continue to wield the weapons and run the show, holding the adult back time and time again from opening to love. The quality of this relationship is the bedrock of the evolution of both child and adult. When the inner child trusts the adult to consistently meet its needs, the adult can take back the reigns, and the child can do what it’s meant to do – be a child.  | Joy Medicine with Pink and Grey Galah Spring has sprung! and it’s time to reconnect with Joy. This week we call upon our cheeky and gorgeous feathered friends the Pink and Grey Galahs to share their sweet nature and joyful energy with us. In the Bardi Nation Dreaming, it is told that the Galah came to the rescue of a Dove who had injured her foot, trying to help, she bit the Dove’s wound and all the colours of the rainbow came forth. This is how the Galah got her colours. We will be tuning into the Galah for assistance also, to free up the more colourful playful nature that is hidden within us. Galahs are all heart. They have strong communities and family bonds; they chatter and play together with unfettered Joy and spontaneity.  | Sound Healing – Joy, Play and Wonderment: Medicine of the Child Aeternus This Friday we are working with joy, play and wonderment as we call in the archetypal energy of the Child Aeternus: The Eternal Child. The medicine of the Eternal Child brings us back into contact with our innate capacity to sense the infinite – to feel and see all things as an expression of the divine. The Eternal Child is a great companion for times when we are feeling weighed down by the physical world and our responsibilities in it. And is particularly helpful if we needed to grow up ‘too fast’ in our childhood years. It reminds us to step back and see the divine in the everyday: To wonder in amazement at the leaves dancing in the wind, to be joyful for the diamonds sparkling upon the ocean on a sunlit day, and to be openly playful in our interactions with others.
