Weighing of Your Heart with Anubis

This week we will be working with the Ancient Egyptian God Anubis – the carer of the dead, lord of the underworld and weigher of hearts.

Anubis says: “I escort souls into the next realm with absolute precision, love and care. Ancient Egyptians were masters of death, and I am the ruler of that domain. Hence, I played a very important role in a culture devoted to ascension and the afterlife.

How one lives dictates how they traverse death and where they go in the afterlife. If they walked in a true, fair and balanced way with purity, kind words and aligned actions, when I weigh their heart, it is as light as a feather. This is the medicine of ascension. To ascend, leaving aside all egoic nature, to consciously return to source.

All of the Pharaohs were afforded the most lavish transition experiences. Not all great Pharaohs however, passed the test of their hearts being lighter than a feather. Yet some of the most modest, caring and kind did. If you are psychically attuned, you can clearly discern how they fared as you journey through the Valley of the Kings going from tomb to tomb.

The question now begs, how light is your heart? Where does your focus and attention rest? Is it on conquering, achieving, acquiring, or on loving, giving, and serving? Are your footsteps loud and crushing, or light and barely audible?

Do not be afraid of death, think of it as the moment in your life you reflect most upon how you lived it. If lived consciously and with love, your soul will face this moment with glee for your spirit allies, whom you worked so closely with on Earth, will usher you in with a rejoicing embrace and much fanfare as you release the dense realm of matter and merge back into all that is. If you have betrayed yourself or your brothers and sisters, this moment will be one of deep reflection, and an incredible overpowering urge to return to earth to do it differently. To embody the higher experiences you chose before your incarnation, but then forgot upon arrival. For this realm of earth is one of freewill choices, and in your forgetful sleep, you often make unconscious decisions that you want to redo at the moment of death.

Therefore, do not fear death. It is a waking up, a lucid moment, and a time of rechoosing life. Or it is a moment of rejoicing in the decisions you made, the life you lived and the love you experienced – an ending of your reincarnation cycle.

The medicine for this session is therefore one of reflection. It is an opportunity to weigh your heart and measure for yourself its lightness or heaviness. This can give you the opportunity to make the choices and decisions now that you’ll inevitably make upon your death in your life’s review. This can be your redo moment, your conscious rechoosing of how you live your life and what is important in it. Once again, do you fear death, for it is one of the most lucid and alive moments of your life.
