Soul Retrieval Medicine

As humans we have a powerful subconscious mechanism to help us manage trauma. Rather than bare the full brunt of say, a car accident, part of our soul essence, or light, leaves the body to protect our psyche. Interestingly, most indigenous cultures were aware of this phenomena and medicine women and men were trained to help facilitate the return of the lost soul fragment, or light, within a few days of any incident. For whilst part of the soul’s light leaves on its own, it often does not return unassisted.
As the soul fragment, or light, leaves the body, it takes with it certain qualities and characteristics. For example, trust, self-belief, spark, charisma, and joy. We can feel less present, dispirited and our immune system can be compromised. When more of our soul essence, or light, is out of our body than in it, this is when we enter a coma.
Trauma varies for each person and changes with age. What causes soul loss for one may not for another. They can be caused by things like relationship and family breakdowns, moving at a pivotal age, accidents, war, natural disasters, mental, emotional and physical abuse, lack of love and attention, bullying and stress to name but a few.
In our modern culture, many people do not feel they are really safe to be here or that they belong. Many are not grounded and rooted in the here and now where we are most powerful and able to safely navigate life. Most of us need the return of our brilliant, gorgeous light, and desperately need to feel safe for the soul fragments to return and feel secure enough to stay.
One Tribe has been doing soul retrievals and training shamanic practitioners for many years to retrieve their soul’s light and assist others to do the same. This medicine is about returning our power, light, joy and beauty. It’s not about reliving the trauma that caused these qualities to leave.
