Reclaiming the Divine Masculine with Lion Medicine

This week at one Tribe, we are journeying with the medicine of the Lion and holding the collective intention to heal and repair our relationship to the Divine Masculine.

Whether subtle or overt, personal or secondary, most of us have experienced the corrupted energy of toxic masculinity in some way shape or form in our lives. That societal distortion that tells us a Man must be stronger, harder and “play to win”. That boys don’t cry. That acting tough, is better than being enough. As we grow, exposure to this ‘toxic masculinity’ may lead us into an unhealthy relationship with the Masculine, and can often leave us denouncing and turning away from the truer expressions of Divine Masculinity. Yet the divine masculine is not concerned with power, possession or aggressive expressions of strength.

The Divine Masculine is the expression of spiritual energy that is concerned with doing. It is action driven, embracing both challenge and responsibility. It is strong and grounded yet also compassionate and vulnerable. It is steadfast and committed yet flexible when required. Most importantly it does not seek to dominate or possess.

This week’s session is a call for all of us (men, women, children, gender fluid and gender questioning) to embody these true qualities of the Divine Masculine. Both for ourselves and for those around us. Through the totem and aspect of the Lion we offer you a soundscape to reclaim your connection to the Divine Masculine and clear any corruption of toxic masculinity. For our brother Stewart, this is a particularly personal journey… one that began some 8 years ago with his own healing journey at One Tribe, and one that continues to unfold today.
