Medicine of the Horse and the Eagle

Here is the story behind the medicine of ‘The horse and the Eagle’: I have been spending a lot of time with Horse recently who comes to me when I am in deep prayer and meditation. When I am ready to find my courage and free myself from any energy that I may have picked up in my earth walk. This horse is painted and beckons me to ride her. She is ready to transport me to the highest reaches of the tallest mountains. As we ride, all that is limiting and holding me back, all that I have picked up and I am carrying, falls off me. Eventually I become her and race up the mountain side. At the summit, I stand free as a four legged. I have risen above the chaos and confusion and I have the higher vision.

Now I become the eagle and I soar high. I am at one with all things. I am with Spirit. I am Spirit…

Horse beckons and says: “Ride on my back to free yourself of your small limited thinking and ways of being. Too many of you carry life on your back. Sit on mine to merge into me. To become the freedom you truly long for. I am courageous, I am powerful, I am also full of love for you. Now is the time to really free yourself of your burdens and find your inner conviction and power”.

Eagle shares: “Having found your freedom with Horse, now it is time to take flight. To merge back into the vastness of Spirit. To soar high on the winds of change that propel you into your true vision of the life you want. What is it you desire, how do you truly want to live, how can you be? These are the questions you can ask yourself as you become me and see life from my perspective. Eventually even these questions and their answers will dissolve, as you become the wind, the sky, and all that is”.
