Wisdom Keepers Remembering
November 21, 2022 - November 29, 2022
9:30 am - 5:00 pm21st-29th November 2022
This 8-day Wisdom Keepers Remembering journey will be led by Dr Noel Nannup (Uncle Noel). It is for aboriginal people who may not have easy access to learning from their aunties and uncles and grandmothers and grandfathers. It’s designed to help you embody your role as Wisdom Keeper and to strengthen your love and care for country and your powerful spiritual connection to it.
The sessions will take place at a mix of beautiful places in and around Perth in the mornings like Dyundalup (Point Walter) and Dgilgie’s Lake (Manning Park) then it is back to base camp in the Fremantle area for the afternoon. Uncle Noel will share about kinship and moort (family) as well as totems and rites of passage. He will share South West creation stories like The Carers of Everything. He will combine important elements of story, song, dance and art. Uncle Noel will share about the Spiritual nature of life and how to embody that every day. How-to live-in harmony with all things as everything is connected. How to see and think in patterns and cycles. How to feel and hear Spirit and align your life to it. In short – how to be a Wisdom Keeper.
Uncle Noel Nannup will teach each morning of the beautiful 8-day journey we will traverse. One Tribe, who are not aboriginal, specialise in healing and will support the afternoon sessions (along with the admin and logistics). Uncle Noel has taken One Tribe out on country for over a decade so a relationship of trust has been developed.
Once again this 8 day journey is for aboriginal people.
